This is one of Millerods’ most popular and enduring bream rods for structure fishing, with an impressive list of tournament wins credited to some of the biggest names in competitive bream fishing.

The rod is perfectly tuned for casting smaller soft plastics and hard-bodied lures into heavy structure where big fish demand both accuracy and control. Its length, action and power are carefully balanced to deliver pinpoint casting while still providing the authority needed to extract fish on heavier-than-usual lines.

Featuring an ultra-light tip with a positive progressive action, the blank loads smoothly before unleashing strong low-down fighting power. It is ideally suited to soft plastic techniques including unweighted, hidden-weight and jigheads up to 1/4oz, and performs just as well slow rolling or twitching surface and diving hard-bodied lures tight to cover.

The Brawler fishes exceptionally well with braided mainlines and monofilament leaders, as well as straight-through fluorocarbon or nylon. The KR guide train uses a premium combination of Fuji titanium frames in semi-micro sizes with the latest SlimRing SiC ceramics, finished with a titanium Torzite tip-top to maximise casting smoothness, durability and performance.

Finished with Ian’s signature Bream Buster handle design, the rod features a Fuji VSS reel seat with custom carbon locking hood and custom-shaped x-firm blue Camoufish EVA grips, completed with the Millerods anti-skid butt cap. This handle provides a secure, confident grip when putting maximum pressure on fish in tight structure.

For best performance, Millerods recommends the FG knot when connecting braided lines to monofilament leaders, with the guide train selected specifically to accommodate this connection.
