The Daiwa 23 Tatula Baitcast Rod range delivers a significant step forward in weight, responsiveness and overall blank performance. Developed as part of the Tatula 10-year anniversary update, the range covers everything from traditional short Barramundi rods through to specialised heavy swimbait and technique-specific models.
At the heart of the range is Daiwa’s SVF Nanoplus blank technology, designed to reduce unnecessary weight while improving sensitivity and responsiveness. This is complemented by X45X Full Shield, which helps minimise blank twist during casting and under load, resulting in a crisp and controlled feel in the hand.
Selected models feature a newly designed Daiwa-exclusive reel seat, creating a slimmer and more comfortable grip while further reducing overall weight. Fuji LKW and KT Alconite guides complete the setup, providing lightweight performance with guide diameters suitable for the heavier leaders commonly used when targeting species such as Murray Cod and Barramundi.
With models ranging from light 3–14g casting applications through to a dedicated X-Heavy swimbait rod capable of casting up to 220g, the 23 Tatula range provides options for a wide variety of Australian lure fishing applications.
