The Millerods BeastFreaK 7’10” is a high-performance swimbait casting rod designed specifically for Australian anglers targeting larger species with big baits. Its multi-loading action and two-piece construction provide versatility and easy transport without sacrificing on-water performance.

At 7’10”, the rod features a fast, multi-loading action that comfortably handles lures from 30 to 150 grams (1–5 oz), with a sweet spot between 50 and 115 grams (1½–3½ oz). This makes it perfectly suited to a wide range of modern big-bait styles. The detachable handle adds convenience, while the lightweight ferrule design allows the rod to fish and feel almost like a one-piece blank.

The Control Freak handle design delivers excellent balance and sensitivity, helping you feel every movement of the lure while reducing fatigue during long casting sessions. The rod is fitted with an 11+1 slick-flow guide train using Fuji Alconite guides in corrosion-resistant KW frames, ensuring smooth casting and retrieving, with a smallest guide size of #7 to allow easy leader knot clearance.

A custom heavy-duty hook keeper securely holds large lures in a tangle-free position, making lure changes quick and safe. The BeastFreaK is ideal for targeting Murray cod, barramundi and flathead, and excels with swimbaits, glidebaits and other oversized lures used in modern predator fishing.

Originally developed for the US bass market in collaboration with Carl Jocumsen, the BeastFreaK quickly proved itself in Australia with impressive early captures.
