Inspired by Ian Miller’s US bass rod designs, the Switchfreak UL mirrors the original American Switchfreak model, but in an ultra-light power rating to better suit Australian lures and native bass. It’s also an excellent option for golden perch and big redfin—any species that responds to these versatile lure styles.

Despite being a 7’3”, two-piece rod, the weight and balance are exceptional. Sensitivity is outstanding, and the rod feels almost weightless in hand—an enormous advantage during long sessions of pitching or jig casting. The two-piece design with detachable handle also makes transport and storage easy.

A multi-guide train of semi-micro Fuji Fazlite guides ensures smooth, true line flow and further enhances the rod’s refined performance.

Ian’s trademark control freak skeleton handle delivers all-day comfort while maximising sensitivity. The Fuji SKTS reel seat sits on a blue carbon barrel, paired with custom-shaped extra-firm EVA in the signature blue Camoufish pattern, and finished with the Millerods ‘M’ logo anti-skid butt cap.
