Inspired by the rugged conditions of the Staaten River in far north Queensland, these rods are designed for serious fishing situations where gear is pushed to its limits — tight casts into timber, hard strikes close to the boat and full-pressure fights against powerful fish.

Built on Pure Carbon Super X blanks, the Staaten series delivers strong lifting power with a responsive feel, making it ideal for working hardbodies, surface lures, swimbaits and heavy soft plastics. The blanks are designed to handle heavy drag while still providing the feedback needed to work lures effectively and stay connected during the fight.

Fitted with genuine Fuji guides, the rods offer smooth braid performance and proven durability in harsh conditions. A custom carbon reel seat ensures a secure fit and improved power transfer when setting hooks, while the combination of EVA grips with AAA cork inlays provides comfort and control, even when wet.

With six baitcast models ranging from medium heavy through to extra heavy, the Staaten range covers a wide variety of heavy-duty applications. Capable of casting weights up to 130g depending on the model, these rods are well suited to targeting species like barramundi, Murray cod, mulloway and even large snapper.
